Food Allergies.. A joke to some people

So I'm watching the view this morning and I heard Elizabeth Hasselbeck saying something about her Celiac Disease (which thankfully she brings a lot of awareness to),  when I noticed that Joy Behar began rolling her eyes.  This has been an ongoing issue on the show where Joy has made fun of Elizabeth's food allergy and somewhat dismissing it as some kind of joke.  Today was pretty much the last straw for me!  It just made me so upset that an educated adult would be so disrespectful about such a serious issue that affects millions of people in this country!  I just wish that food allergies weren't something to joke about!  It's definitely a  serious issue and it affects my family in ways I don't think Ms. Behar could understand.  If we expect bullying to stop, we need to be better rolemodels!!
