Biscoff Spread

This is Europe's alternative to peanut butter!  It is delicious!!

It's peanut, milk and egg free!  Try it with your family.  We love it!  You can enjoy it with fresh sliced apples, in a sandwich with jelly, or by itself straight out of the jar, it's that good!!
Your child will really feel as if they're eating peanut butter!  It even looks like it!

Allergy Warning: Packed in a facility where Tree Nut products are processed.  If your child has a severe allergy to tree nuts, you may want to avoid this product.

Dairy Free, Egg Free, Peanut Free Chocolate Croissants

This recipe couldn't be any easier!

What you'll need.... just three ingredients!

Dairy Free, Egg Free, Peanut Free Chocolate Croissants:

  • One can (8 oz) Pillsbury refrigerated Crescent (original) rolls
  •  1/2 cup Enjoy life chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar
Heat oven to 350. Separate dough into 8 triangles.
Place tablespoon of chocolate chips on wide end of triangle.  Roll up (not too tightly), starting at shortest side of triangle, rolling to the opposite point.  Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 15 -20 or until golden brown.
When they come out of the oven let cool slightly then lightly sift powdered sugar over top.

You can serve these for a nice brunch or as a dessert!  Enjoy!

Dairy Free, Peanut Free, and Egg Free Banana-Chocolate Chip Muffins

So it was a long day of working, making dinner, taking the girls to softball practice and then I get the question...."Mommy, can you please make me some dessert??"  My reply was an exhausted...."Okay".  I just feel so bad when I don't have a sweet in the house for Julia when she craves a sweet treat.  I know that my youngest gets to eat whatever she wants, and seeing Julia's face when her little sister devours a sweet that she can't have, just kills me!  So I try to always have something sweet that she can enjoy.

I pulled out my latest cookbook, from Mommy Blogger and Author of "The Food Allergy Mama's Baking Book" Great Dairy, Egg and Nut free treats for the whole family.  Since I had some yummy ripe bananas in the house, I figured I'd try something with bananas and so I came upon the Banana-Chocolate Chip muffins.  They were really easy to make and they came out really yummy!  Two thumbs up for that one.  It's serves as a tasty and yummy treat for school at snack time, or a great dessert with a tall glass of milk, in Julia's case... Rice Milk!  So there, I tried it and I liked it.  Give it shot, I'm sure you'll enjoy them as well.  I find her book to be a great addition to my allergy free cookbook collection.  You can probably find her book on Amazon.com.

My safe treat...always with me!

So, I decided to go through a Starbucks drive through today and grab my new favorite drink: the Nonfat White Chocolate Mocha, when my youngest Emma(who can eat anything but poultry) asked for their red velvet whoopie pie. Julia of course says,"What about me?"  I then remember about the Enjoy Life chocolate bar that I had thrown in my purse (for one of these moments) and immediately said, "I have your chocolate bar right here!"  She was thrilled, Emma was thrilled and Mama was now caffeinated! Win Win!!!!  Moral of the story: Never leave home without your "special" treat because you never know when you'll need it!

I always make sure that I have at least 1 or 2 of these delicious chocolate bars in my daughters backpack, just in case something comes up at school!   They are so yummy!  Trust me, you want one of these boxes in your pantry so that when something comes up, you'll always have a goodie for your little "allergy free kiddo"!
